Your Experience Counts On Moz

Moz is asking for your input by announcing the 2015 Online Marketing Industry Survey. Cyrus Shepard’s post has links to start taking this fifth edition of the survey that has been such a benefit to all of us in the past. Once the surveys are complete, the data is compiled and available (without the identifying personal info) to everyone.

You can finish the survey in about ten minutes. Some of the topics include:

  • Demographics
  • Agencies vs. in-house vs. other
  • Tactics & strategies
  • Tools & technology
  • Budget & spending

Why Is Participation Important?

The more individuals being heard from, the better the results because there’s more data. Having more data means the extrapolations are more accurate. We have talked about Moz surveys before when looking at Survey Results and Centroids. The proximity of the searcher was identified as a changing factor and the survey picked it up.

Wait — There Are Prizes!

This year Moz has sweetened the survey with the inclusion of some nice incentives. The ten second prize winners will get Amazon gift cards for $50. That’s pretty nice, but the two first prizes are Apple Watches.  How great is that?

The Grand Prize is the best: a ticket to MozCon 2015 in Seattle plus airfare and accommodations. All the rules and details are available when taking the survey.

Prizes are fun but, the best part of participating in the Moz surveys is the opportunity to think through what you are doing with online marketing. It’s always good to have to clarify what is going on in your own part of this constantly changing industry. Taking the time to express your opinions and experience makes all of us winners.
